When listening to the first nine tracks of Yeezus it is hard to put a single word on the type of music Kanye West released. With insane 
production, a minimalistic approach, and aggressive lyrics Yeezus is unlike anything we have heard before. But when the album comes to a close on “Bound 2” we are reminded of Yeezy’s roots and how Kanye originally burst on the scene.
Unlike every other track on Yeezus, “Bound 2” is all about the old school sample. This is something fans were used to hearing from Kanye on his first few albums but much less in recent years. Nothing short of a love song, possibly dedicated to his newly-born daughter’s mother Kim Kardashian, “Bound 2” is a refreshing finale to the controversial project. Charlie Wilson, a frequent Yeezy collaborator who was honored at this years BET Awards, provides a soulful, emphatic chorus which enhances West’s return to the old school.
