When the first trailer of Fifty Shades of Grey was released, we were introduced to a revamped version of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love”. Now a few months later, the next track from the film’s soundtrack has dropped with The Weeknd taking over with “Earned It”.
With his own dark and sexual style matching that of Fifty Shades of Grey, The Weeknd is the perfect addition to this highly anticipated adaption. But instead of sticking to his ominous, druggy flow, The Weeknd lighten things up on “Earned It” with beautiful strings and his unbelievable voice.

Last week The Weeknd returned to his hit “Often” to give it the remix treatment. Now he is turning his attention to the other track which provided the soundtrack to his most recent tour to give it its own facelift.
Following the lead of its predecessor, the “King Of The Fall (Remix)” has The Weeknd bringing in some more outside talent to give his own track a new feel. This time around it is Ty Dolla $ign and Belly who join Abel in certifying him as the “King Of The Fall”.

From his mixtapes to Kiss Land, The Weeknd has generally stayed away from bringing collaborators on his music. But as his own guest visits have increased it is only expected that some big names start making appearances on his own tracks like the brand new “Often (Remix)”.
Between his first two albums, the only two verses provided by someone other than The Weeknd were Drake and Juicy J. So to say “Often (Remix)” is different than any other track by the Toronto-native is an understatement. Both ScHoolboy Q and Rick Ross team up with The Weeknd to make this late night special even hotter and possibly set a trend for more Weeknd tracks.

Even though she has maintained her good girl image as she’s become the hottest name in the game, Ariana Grande is still trying to grow as an artist. Her choices for collaborations clearly show this and the best example may just be “Love Me Harder”.
While “Love Me Harder” may have snuck under the radar since releasing My Everything, it has no longer since performing the track on SNL. A much more subtly mature track than many off her offerings, “Love Me Harder” succeeds because of the unlikely combination of Grande and The Weeknd who still manages to get in some of his darkness on this radio friendly smash.

The first leg of The Weeknd‘s upcoming four city tour may still be over a month away but he is already hyping up what should be huge shows. Days ago he dropped what will be the tours anthem track as The Weeknd proclaims himself the “King of the Fall”.
The second consecutive stand alone track released by The Weeknd, “King of the Fall” shares the same title as his tour which will include Schoolboy Q and Jhene Aiko. With enough brashness and braggadocio to fill an entire album, “King of the Fall” is certainly not a toned down version of The Weeknd. More than ever it seems, the higher he reaches the bolder The Weeknd becomes.

He has been relatively quite since dropping Kiss Land but The Weeknd is waking up from his short slumber. He did drop two of the hottest remixes of “Drunk In Love” and “Or Nah” and now he is back with an all new original which will have fans stirring.
With no word on whether it is tied to an album or a mixtape, The Weeknd’s new free download “Often” is a pleasant surprise in its release but no surprise in its quality. While he stays in his dark emotional haze which has been a breath of fresh air in today’s music scene, The Weeknd oozes confidence on “Often” and it should only propel him higher.

After making three critically acclaimed mixtapes with minimal guest appearances, The Weeknd has become the guy who everyone wants on their albums. The latest addition to this group is Rick Ross as he brings in the XO crooner for “In Vein” off his most recent album, Mastermind.
With the success Rick Ross and The Weeknd have had in the individual careers it is no surprise that they are living it up. That is why Rozay dedicates “In Vein” to their celebrations and their dedication to getting tipsy everyday and every night.
