Musical Breakdown has already featured one remix of Justin Bieber‘s hit single “Boyfriend” by Mike Stud. However, for today’s Song of the Day, we have the official remix brought to you by JB himself.

Bieber once again shows that he can bring in some of hip hop’s best for any song he wants. For the official remix he enlists some of the biggest up-and-coming rappers of 2012: 2 Chainz, Mac Miller, and Asher Roth.

Each MC contributes solid verses while JB’s part stays the same as the original.

Boyfriend (Remix) – Mike Stud: Song of the Day 4/14

As Justin Bieber has reached a legal age, it seems to be more acceptable for rappers to be associated with the singer and to remix his music.

Bieber’s most recent release “Boyfriend” is the most mature we have heard the Canadian superstar. The beat is catchy and the girls are screaming over his vocals. However, Mike Stud seemed to believe the song was missing a MC’s touch.

Stud’s “Boyfriend (Remix)” is not a good boyfriend’s anthem like JB. The Georgetown grad student’s version is a toast to all those guys who know they are no good for the girls, but the ones the ladies still want to be with.
