There are only a few songs that can lay a claim to song of the summer. The unexpected combination of Florida Georgia Line and Nelly have one of the best cases for that award with their smash hit “Cruise (Remix)”. Because their first collaboration was so successful, the Line and Nelly decided to hook up again for round two with “Walk Away”.
While “Cruise” made any party hyped with the perfect combination of country and hip-hop, “Walk Away” slows things down for Nelly and FGL. Featured on Nelly’s most recent project M.O., “Walk Away” is eerily reminiscent of Nelly’s previous country collaboration with Tim McGraw. While Nelly’s sales have progressively decreased on his last few albums, tracks like “Walk Away” are broadening his audience and sustaining his career.
