Over the course of good kid, m.A.A.d. city, much talk is done by Kendrick Lamar about this girl named Sherane. Throughout the album, K. Dot wants to go see this lady on his mind but can’t seem to make it to her but on “Poetic Justice” we see the sensual side of Kendrick as he spits his game to Sherane.
Over the biggest sample from GKMC offered up by Janet Jackson, Kendrick properly serves up poetry on “Poetic Justice”. While this may be the “love song” of GKMC, “Poetic Justice” still showcases K. Dot’s lyricism as he writes down all of his experiences once again. Drake accompanies Kendrick on “Poetic Justice” as he goes back-and-forth with his old flame from Canada despite all the new girls and fortune in his life.
